HELL EXPLAINED BY CHEMISTRY STUDENT

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

To quote Carlin yet again:

Think how stupid the average person is, then realize half the people are dumber than that.

You do need to read down a bit until you get to the part about breast feeding.

So am I driving to work the other, listening to FM radio for my 15 minute ride to the train station, which is the only time I really listen to it.

Anyway I came across this song, which, like many pop songs these days borrow from some older songs. At first I was a little ticked that it was a blatant ripoff, until you realize that the song is actually playing tribute to the songs and is not trying to claim anything for itself, as you can see when they show the records in the video below

There is no genius behind this music, and it is probably as simple as it gets, and I'll admit it that I like it. It is fun and a good summer tune, at least for someone in my demographic.

The only downside, is that it is done by Kid Rock, and up to this point couldn't stand anything he did.

Sometimes, the simplest things are all you need.

A NY Times Article shows a negative correlation between drinking and scientific achievement. Kind of counter intuitive if you ask me. But then again, the Nobel Prize Committee isn't knocking down my door either.
