A year ago I wrote about my anniversary and how it was just another typical spring weekend day (read it here). Well another year has past, and not much has changed, except maybe things are a bit more hectic.

This year, once again the girls will be dancing. This year both girls will be competing, so Gail will be with them all day. The boy meantime, has his job in the morning, which is refereeing the younger kids soccer games. Then on to his own soccer and lacrosse games.

So we probably run into each other at the coffee machine early in the AM and should see each other sometime in the evening, deciding which take out menu to order from.

At least next year it will be on a Monday, so we will just have the normal, work, school and everyday life to deal with!

Happy Anniversary.

Wow...almost 2 full months since I posted something. I guess it was either let this die or carry on, so I'll give it another shot.

It's not that there hasn't been anything to write about, but I either go involved in other projects, including joining the Facebook revolution, or just didn't have the energy. Facebook, which now according to my daughter "has too many old people on it", seems to have taken way too much of my time, but it is proving entertaining and has let me re-connect with some old friends.

It might be just a coincidence with my becoming an active user, but seems like a lot from my generation has just started logging on to it in the past 6 months or so, again to the dismay of my kids.

Anyway, that is not what prompted my to log this entry.

Just posted a couple picks from Halloween.

Seems we have a tradition now of having a party on Halloween at our house. In fact it has become my personal holiday as I take the day off each year, and enjoy a cigar on the front porch while handing out candy.

Jazzy and I kept watch while the kids raided the neighborhood as you can see from the pictures.

I lost track of how many kids we had over, but I do know there was some kind of war between the 7th grade boys, Kevin's friends, and Deanna's High School friends.

All I know it would have been the highlight of my Halloween if I was in 7th grade and I was chasing/being chased by a bunch of High School girls.

Sometime around midnight, the sugar highs ended and they all crashed in our family room. See if you can count all the kids in the picture. You can also play "Where's Deanna" with the picture as well.

Today was our 16th Wedding Anniversary, and we spent it like in typical fashion for a Spring Saturday. Me on the soccer field and Gail at a dance competition.

The day started a little strange, as I had to get up early to some errands. Getting up early is not something I enjoy on the weekend. When I did get home I got to witness a sight. Deanna and her friend getting ready for the competition in my bathroom. It reminded me of the clown car at the circus. More people than could fit in a small space, with way too much makeup and funny costumes.

I did get to say hello to my bride before we both went our separate ways for the afternoon. After the boy's game, they won 3-2, we did stop by the competition so I could see what the dance tuition and fees I am paying, equivalent to the Gross National Product of many small nations, is getting me.
